3. Cooling-Off Period

At PANTHEONS, we uphold the highest ethical standards and follow the recommendations set by the Keogh report and our national plastic surgery associations, which advocate for a dedicated ‘cooling-off’ period. This essential step ensures that every patient has ample time to carefully consider their options before proceeding with surgery.

We strongly encourage all prospective patients to take their time after their initial consultation to reflect on their decision. We recommend a minimum of two weeks before moving forward, as cosmetic surgery is a significant medical procedure that should not be taken lightly. Your pre-assessment with the hospital or clinic staff is an important final check to make sure that you are fit and healthy for the procedure. Prior to your treatment, your surgeon will go through your previous medical and surgical history and in particular note any risk factors. We will organise any tests that you may need in good time and if required, you will also be seen by the anaesthetist prior to surgery.
